Man Burned In Colchester House Fire

COLCHESTER, Conn. (AP) _ A man pulled from a house fire in Colchester has been flown to a Rhode Island hospital with serious burns.

Firefighters tell WFSB-TV that a second person at the house on Windham Avenue was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, apparently suffering from a diabetic emergency. Authorities have not released the names or conditions of either victim.

The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Because the home is located in a rural area of town, firefighters had to truck water to the scene to fight the fire. Firefighters and investigators remained at the scene Tuesday morning.
