Siting Council Okays Colebrook Wind Farm Site

What would be Connecticut’s first wind farm has been approved for a site in Colebrook.  The “Colebrook South” proposal won approval on a six-to-one vote the Connecticut Siting Council,  with two members not voting .  And Executive Director Linda Roberts says  members indicated in a straw vote that they would support the companion “Colebrook North” proposal as well.

The Colebrook South proposal is for three wind turbines on the site.  The council now will consider the development and management plan for the project.

A previous proposal for a wind farm in Prospect was rejected by the council.
