Four Charged In Madison Bank Heist

Madison Police, late Friday night, with the assistance of Old Saybrook Police, made four arrests in connection with a robbery at the People’s United Bank on Boston Post Road in Madison earlier in the day.

Police say the primary suspect, Marc J. Barbeau, was located at the Executive Inn & Suites at 7 North Main Street in Old Saybrook. He is charged with robbery, larceny, threatening, and breach of peace. Police say he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. He was held on $100,000 bond pending arraignment Tuesday in New Haven Superior Court.

Police say they also arrested three other individuals in connection with the case. Lisa Chasse, 44, is charged with hindering prosecution, interfering, and larceny; Michael R. Molyneux, 49, is charged with hindering prosecution and interfering; and a juvenile was charged with interfering, said police.

Chasse and Molyneux were released on non-surety bonds. The juvenile was released into the custody of a parent.
