A vigil was held last night to remember a student killed in a freak lab accident on Tuesday.
Michele Dufault died when her hair became tangled in a spinning lathe in a chemistry lab. She was pulled in and was suffocated.
Yale President Richard Levin said her body was found by other students who had been working in the building.
About 150 students and faculty attended the vigil in Dufault’s memory. In a message to the university, Levin wrote that Dufault’s death was a “true tragedy.”
