Governor Malloy continues his efforts to reach out to Connecticut businesses as he pitches for support for his budget proposals.
Malloy is scheduled to speak today in Darien at the CEO Roundtable, a group of Connecticut chief executives, business owners and others.
Malloy will speak later Thursday evening to the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce annual dinner about his efforts to improve the state’s finances. State government faces a looming $3.5 billion deficit in the new fiscal year that begins July 1.
Businesses and their lobbyists at the Capitol have been skeptical about several of Malloy’s proposals to raise $1.5 billion in taxes.
