Fatal Crash In Torrington

Torrington Police say a Canaan man was killed in a crash Tuesday morning on South Main Street after he apparently failed to negotiate a curve, crossed over the center line, broke through a guard rail, and ended up in a culvert containing several inches of water.

Police say Terrance Morgan, 52, of North Elm Street in Canaan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the crash, near Bogue Road, was discovered around 7:40 a.m., but it’s unclear when the crash actually occurred because the final resting place of the 2002 Toyota Tacoma was partially obscured from the roadway.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call Torrington Police at 860-489-2008.
