NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ Metro-North service on the Danbury branch of the New Haven Line has been suspended because of a track washout just south of the Bethel Station.
Workers are on the scene Monday to make repairs, which are not expected to be completed until after the morning commute.
Commuters should drive to the Harlem Line or New Haven main line stations to get into New York City. Both are operating normally.
The railroad is attempting to get buses to handle service.
Heavy rains across Connecticut overnight have forced road closures and evacuations in some communities.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for most of the state.
