Flooding Across Connecticut

There are evacuations taking place in towns along the Housatonic River as it surpasses the flood stage of 11 feet–its now at 19 feet.

In Derby, the the McConney Grove area off Roosevelt Drive (Rte. 34) houses are being evacuated due to rising water.   The fire department has requested boats to assist homeowners.

In Shelton, people in the Maples area of town on Indian Wells Road are being told to get out as their yards and basements flood.

Several roads across Connecticut including: Johnson Avenue in Farmington, Route 147 in Middletown between Rte. 147 and Rte. 157,  Route 7 Southbound in new Milford between route 202 and Sunny Valley Road and Route 202 in Torrington at the Litchfield Town Line are all closed because of minor flooding.
