Another Connecticut service member has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Defense Department says Army Private First Class David Fahy, Jr. of Norwalk died of wounds he suffered when insurgents with a homemade bomb attacked his unit.

Fahey was a member of the 504th Military Police Battalion of the 42nd Military Police Brigade at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Governor Dannel Malloy ordered U.S. and Connecticut flags to fly at half staff in honor of Fahey until his burial.
