Stabbing At High School

Authorities say one student is hospitalized and another is under arrest following a stabbing at East Hartford High School.

Police say a school resource officer and school security acted quickly to stop the fight,  which took place in the cafeteria.  A letter from Superintendent Matthew Ryan to parents called it an “isolated incident”  and praised staff and students for their “remarkable job of maintaining appropriate behavior and following (administration) instructions.”

Ryan says school officials will take precautions to maintain the safety of everyone in the building.
