STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Top-ranked Connecticut has signed three top women’s basketball recruits to national letters of intent.
The school announced Wednesday that is has received written commitments from guard Brianna Banks of Newnan, Ga.; forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis of Anaheim, Calif.; and center Kiah Stokes of Marion, Iowa.
Banks averaged 16.5 points last season. Mosqueda-Lewis averaged almost 23 points. Stokes averaged almost 20 points and over 13
rebounds a game.
All three had already given Connecticut an oral commitment.
Stokes was the last to commit, making her college choice public last week.
UConn opens this year’s season on Sunday against Holy Cross, with five freshmen on the roster.
