Search Resumes for Missing Kayaker

WILTON, Conn. (AP) _ Wilton police and firefighters have resumed a search for a 46-year-old man who went missing after what authorities believe was a kayaking accident that killed his girlfriend.

Police Lt. Donald Wakeman says a police and firefighter dive team returned to the Norwalk River just after 9:30 a.m. Monday to look for 46-year-old James Lind of Wilton, who has been missing since Friday night.

Wakeman says Lind’s live-in girlfriend, 50-year-old Doreen Wallace, was found floating in the river Friday night and was brought to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. He says an empty 2-person kayak was found in the river.

Authorities also searched for Lind on Saturday and Sunday.
