Headlining is rising comedian Mo Mandel. He is the host of the TruTV program “Barmageddon,” has had guest acting roles on sitcoms like “Modern Family” and frequently performs his standup act on “Conan” and other late-night shows. The $35 ticket includes a dessert and a glass of champagne in a souvenir flute.

Opened in May 2013, the classy, intimate Side Door has already welcomed some of the best jazz players working today. This special Valentine’s show stars the British singer Sally Night, whose quartet includes the acclaimed pianist Cyrus Chestnut. Tickets cost $38.50.

See how Valentine’s Day was celebrated over a century ago at this dance held at Senexet House, a large Victorian cottage and retreat on Roseland Lake. Dancers will experience an evening of classic popular music from the ragtime era (and are invited and encouraged to dress in costumes from the period) and a dessert buffet will be provided. Tickets for the dance cost $15.
