Soulshine Arts follows the Music Together curriculum and is taught by the highly talented and engaging Leslie Pratt. Weekly classes are taught in two locations including Brass City Ballet in Middlebury and at 421 Bantam Road in Litchfield. Through songs, movement, play and instruments, this curriculum can create fun one-on-one time with your little ones while they will also be learning and socializing. New families can attend a free demo class to check out the music class. Registration costs include the weekly 45-minute class along with a CD and download of the music from class. Reduced cost is available for siblings. Baby-aged classes are available, as well as the traditional class for infants through five-year-olds. The classes are perfect for getting in some mommy and me or daddy and me time.

Balancing being a mom and keeping your fitness goals can be a challenging. At Fit and Balanced Mom, you will find yourself surrounded by a motivating coach, Kim Chapman McIntosh, and supportive moms. You will get the chance to have a safe environment to spend mommy and me time with your baby or toddler while you get help with your fitness goals and meet new moms. Classes include Pilates, boot camp and coaching to a 5K. Classes are offered in West Hartford, Glastonbury and Salem. Classes are divided into babies, one-year-olds, two-year-olds, and three to five-year-olds. One of the major benefits of Romp N’ Roll is their flexibility, making it perfect for unpredictable weather or working parents. Monthly membership tuition does not restrict you to the same class from week to week. Membership gains you access to open gym and unlimited classes. Jumping Jacks is an indoor gym and play area for children ages nine months to eight years of age. They have weekly classes that include independent classes for the older children as well as mommy and me classes that will expand your child’s coordination, fine and gross motor skills, balance and socialization with peers in the class. The classes offer opportunities for physical play. They are broken down into specific age ranges including Waddlers for nine to 15 months, Toddlers for 15 months to two years of age, Movers for two and three-year-olds, and Shakers for three-year-olds. Shakers classes start providing the option of including the parent or having class without the parent. You might have heard of the New Britain Museum of American Art, but you may not have heard about the awesome classes they offer. Art Start is a weekly art class where moms, dads, grandparents, or whomever the caregiver is and their child will explore their love for art. Together, you can put your creativity hat on to explore colors, lines and shapes. Classes are for children ages three to five years old. Art Start is taught by a Connecticut certified school teacher. Drop-ins are welcome and no commitment is needed. Classes are every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. until June 2016. Class schedules change with the school summer vacation. Class fees are reasonable at $7 per class.
