For over twenty-five years, Christopher Martin’s has been known for its excellent food and for using locally grown ingredients and produce; it was recently featured in the book New Haven Chef’s Table. Favorite dishes are the lamb, hamburgers, and the roasted vegetable stuffed pasta in vodka cream sauce. Additionally, this neighborhood hangout spot draws a mixture of locals and first-time patrons. If you’re in the mood for an exceptional meat dish, whether it be pork, beef, or veal, Christopher Martin’s is the place to go.

Apparently, it’s an age-old tradition at Pourhouse for the female bartenders to jump onto the bar and pour shots into people’s open mouths when “Pour Some Sugar on Me” roars through the speakers. If that’s not enough of an incentive for all the males out there to speed on down to Pourhouse, then maybe the Friday night no-cover charge and the live music can seal the deal.
