ENFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Prison officials are investigating the untimely death of an inmate in Enfield.
Staff at the Willard-Cybulski Correctional Center responded to a nonresponsive inmate Wednesday morning. While staff initiated emergency measures on the scene, the man was pronounced dead at an outside medical facility about an hour-and-a-half later.
The Department of Correction identified the inmate as 44-year-old Adam Rowe of Hebron. The agency says Rowe had been incarcerated since July 6. He had returned to custody after committing a technical violation while on special parole in the community.
The Office of the State Medical Examiner said the exact manner and cause of Rowe’s death was under investigation.
