(Hartford, Conn/CBS Connecticut) – It was years in the making but the Hartford-to-New Britain busway known as CT Fastrak got its start just before 5 a.m. in Hartford.
It seemed more curiosity as the first riders boarded buses across the 9.4-mile route.
The guideway has 11 stations and platforms that are level with the bus.
Cyclists can bring their bikes on board.
In addition, the station’s electronic signs tell which buses are arriving and when.
Buses are also equipped with GPS and apps like RideScout.
