(CBS Connecticut) — Republicans say they have picked up a seat in the Connecticut State House in today’s special election for the seat left vacant by the death of Democrat Elaine O’Brien of Suffield.  State Party Chair Jerry Labriola called the victory of Tami Zawistowski in the 61st State House Disctrict “a true testimony of the strength of her Republican message.”
