CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut state police say investigators are trying to identify a pedestrian who may have been struck and killed by a large truck in Cromwell.

Police say the witnesses found the victim described as a stocky man wearing dark jeans and jean jacket on Saturday, at about 3 a.m.

Authorities say the vehicle that hit the man may have been traveling in the center lane of Interstate 91 north. The victim was found about 3/4 of a mile south of exit 21 in Cromwell.

Investigators are seeking information from anyone traveling in the Middletown and Cromwell area of I-91 between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. They say anyone who may have seen the incident or a pedestrian in or around the highway to contact state police in Hartford.
