The decline in gasoline prices continues in Connecticut.

According to Triple AAA, the average for a gallon of gas in the state stands at $3.70.  That’s a 20-cent decrease over the last month.

And while prices in the Nutmeg State are still fourth highest compared to the national average of $3.36, Triple AAA Connecticut spokesman Aaron Kupec says they expect the downward trend to continue for the next few months.

He says a drop in the price of crude oil is key.

Kupec says the price there is $100.75 for west texas intermediate crude.kupec also says no significant storms this hurricane season has also played a big part in keeping prices bearable.
