With Netflix Inc. going away from its DVD-mailing service and focusing on streaming, it has announced it will close its Bloomfield distribution center Wednesday.

In a release, Netflix blames the US Postal Service, saying: “Netflix has closed the Bloomfield DVD distribution center due mainly to United State Postal Service transportation and service changes, along with increased internal production efficiencies, resulting [in] a small number of jobs lost.”

Only five jobs will reportedly be affected.

Connecticut customers will now be serviced by Netflix hubs in Worcester, Massachusetts and Melville, New York.
