MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) _ Meriden police say they’re looking for a suspect who killed a gas station clerk during an early morning robbery.

Police say the clerk was shot to death at a Citgo station on East Main Street at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

A witness inside the store at the time told police that the shooter was white man in his late 20s or early 30s who is about 5-feet-9-inches tall with clean-cut, dark hair and a husky build. He was wearing a gray T-shirt with lettering on it, black shorts and sneakers.

The witness said the robber shot the clerk after the clerk gave him the store money.

Anyone with information is urged to call Meriden police.
