NAUGATUCK, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut State Police are seeking the public’s help to find a man who posed as a Naugatuck officer and sexually assaulted a female driver.

State Police Lt. J. Paul Vance says the incident at noon Wednesday started when the man activated flashing lights in his brown or tan Ford Crown Victoria to get the woman to pull over.

He was wearing dark blue pants and a blue polo shirt embroidered with “Naugatuck” and “police,” plus a utility belt and pouch that appeared to contain handcuffs.

He was described as a tall white male with blond curly hair in his late 20s to early 30s, clean shaven and with a very bulbous nose. The vehicle is not a Naugatuck police car, and the suspect does not resemble anyone in the department.
