Berlin police say a suspect wanted in a home invasion in their town three months ago is in custody in Florida after barricading him in the attic of his mother’s home in a standoff with Orange County, Florida police.

Berlin police say after they identified  31-year-old Felix Pagan of Springfield as one of two suspects in the December home invasion on Simms Road in the Kensington section,  they obtained a warrant for his arrest.

When police tried to go to Pagan’s mother’s Orlando, Florida, home on Thursday,   they say he refused to come out for five hours,  and police evacuated the neighborhood and fired tear gas into the home to force him out.

He’s held as a fugitive from justice, awaiting extradition to Connecticut to face charges  of home invasion, conspiracy, assault, attempted robbery, and burglary.
