WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (AP) _ The Connecticut Department of Labor says its unemployment benefits call centers will be open Monday despite the state holiday observing President’s Day.

The agency’s TeleBenefits Call Centers will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to file unemployment claims.

People may use the Labor Department’s automated TeleBenefits phone system or its online service. Remaining open Monday will help individuals who need to speak with someone to complete an unemployment insurance claim.

Residents who want information about Labor Department services or who want to file a continued claim can visit the agency’s Web site at http://www.ct.gov/dol.
