Mystic’s Halloween event is a family-friendly affair. The seaport is transformed to mirror the image of an ancient 19th-century village. As visitors independently tour the seaport, they will run into fortune tellers and characters. Stories will be told of shipwrecks, monsters and ghost pirates. Through this haunted walking tour, you’re likely to meet a sailor spirit along the way. Additional activities will be available including face painting and horse and carriage rides.

Thrill seekers will start their tour with an hour-and-a-half walk through the Buttolph-Williams House. In the 1660s, 30 years before the Salem Witch Trial, Connecticut men and women accused of witchcraft were executed. Hear tales of the Wethersfield Witch Trails. The second part of the tour features the Wethersfield Ancient Burying Ground. Be prepared to hear creepy stories about the first mass murder of Connecticut. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Join paranormal fans on this 45-minute guided tour at the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center. Visit locations that have been investigated by ghost hunters. Bring a flashlight as your guide and tour group trek through the dark, hearing stories of unexplained events. You will learn about the five deaths at the gothic revival home in 1871. You might even meet their spirits! Reservations are recommended and visitors must be 12 years of age or older.

For one night only, the Cedar Hill Cemetery is open to the public after dusk. Led by lantern, you will be guided to the graves of locals laid to rest. Actors dressed in character will share their stories at each grave sight as you tremble in the darkness of the cemetery. It is recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a flashlight. Reservations are required. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 13.
