Saturday nights are dedicated to gay night at Gotham City. With two floors of musical entertainment you can choose from the loud dance scene or finding a quieter escape to have a conversation. The atmosphere is loud and often times crowded with its popularity in the New Haven area. Parking is available in local parking garages.

Party goers will fall in love with the extensive martini and cocktail menu at Chez Est. Drinks have flirtatious names such as hot-n-dirty, dirty-tini, and date at eight. That’s just an indicator of the fun atmosphere in the bar. Their drag shows are a crowd-pleaser but often have a cover charge. Chez Est is open until 1 a.m. every night and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Unlike other gay bars or clubs, their kitchen is open Thursdays through Sundays.

O’Niell’s Brass Rail isn’t your typical gay bar. They are, however, gay friendly and attract a variety of crowds. It’s a local True Colors favorite and they have hosted private parties here before. O’Niell’s hosts karaoke on Wednesday nights and features drink specials. If you’re looking to save a dime check out this bar. It is one of the best options near New London without crossing state borders.

The most ideal place to frequent in the Danbury area for the LGBT community is Triangles. It’s so popular that people flock from around the state and cross New York borders to see what it is all about. Triangles is three bars in one. They have a large dance floor and outdoor patio. Their calendar is jam packed with special events such as ladies night, leather night, country night, strippers, and monthly transgender parties.
