Since September 2011, CrossFit Triton has brought Wallingford together as a community. Its common goal is fitness and team support. With certified CrossFit trainers, members will have a WOD (Work of the Day) with new challenges and variety on a daily basis. Free Saturday classes are available for beginners to learn body-weight and weighted exercises from push-ups to kettleballs. New members will start with on-ramp classes offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. or Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Beginners are required to attend six on-ramp courses over two weeks for $175 or three personal training sessions for $275. Discounts apply to military, first responders and students. Weekend kids’ CrossFit and endurance classes also make this location unique.

Strongtown’s workouts address 10 domains: stamina, power, strength, speed, coordination, flexibility, balance, agility, accuracy and cardio and respiratory endurance. Classes offered are daily WOD and Olympic weightlifting twice a week. New members and those interested in learning about CrossFit can attend a free class. It is recommended that new members attend the studio’s CrossFit Elements Program. These one-on-one sessions with a trainer will assess your personal goals and fitness level. Family discounts apply to memberships. Strongtown offers small group, five-person-maximum classes for those interested in organizing friends or family for a workout.

This small, friendly gym offers team and trainer support. Free classes are offered on the first Saturday of every month at 10:15 a.m. New members will begin their CrossFit journey with a three-hour on-ramp program to learn the fundamentals. Discounts are offered to first responders and students. The class schedule includes morning, noon and evening make-up classes. Olympic lifting class is offered Tuesday nights at 7:15 p.m.

CrossFit Milford is not your typical gym. Its strength and conditioning focuses on maintaining your health and fitness through WOD, yoga and kids classes. Expect to challenge your body in push-ups, barbells and kettleballs. CrossFit Milford’s team atmosphere will be there every step of the way for encouragement. Free introductory classes are offered every Saturday at 10 a.m. with a step down to give beginners a chance to learn CrossFit workouts. Yoga is offered on Sundays. CrossFit kids’ courses combine motor, cognitive and neurological development each Saturday at 10 a.m. Prices vary based on a three-, six- or 12-month commitment. Classes are offered morning, noon, afternoon and evening from Monday through Friday with no evening classes on weekends.
