“Burn calories, not carbon,” said Mike and Rachel Ann Woolf, who have been in the bicycle business a good long time. They actually retired for a while, but then discovered the electric bicycle. “We were so excited about these electric bikes that we both decided to come out of retirement and specialize in these bikes,” said Mike. With at least 50 to 60 electric bikes in the shop at all times, it’s not surprising that the other bike shops refer people to Bloomfield Bicycle when they want to check out the electric models. These bikes are perfect for those who like the added assistance when going up hills, when going long distances and just starting out biking.

Considering that at any given time, there are 1,500 bikes on display in the Bikers Edge shop, chances are good that shoppers will find just what they want. With mountain and BMX bikes, people from all over New England visit this store. “We’ve got two more shops,” said Bob who owns the place. “We have bikes for everyone from five years old to 75 years old,” he said pointing out that with such a large space, he is able to show so many different styles of bikes.
