Catch live music this Independence Day as you celebrate America’s freedom and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Concerts have been scheduled across the state. Some are in conjunction with other Fourth of July events such as fireworks displays, while others are stand alone music festivals. Genres range from jazz and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra to local band performances.

Celebrate your patriotic pride at the annual Talcott Mountain Music Festival. The Talcott Mountain Music Festival is produced by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and their conductor, Adam Kerry Boyles. Grab a blanket and some snacks to enjoy grass passes, or purchase tickets for the table section. The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Asylum Hill Congregational Church Choir to perform jazz and patriotic songs. Stay after the concert for a fireworks display.

Enfield has a jam packed concert series this Fourth of July. Their weekend concert event kicks off on Friday, July 8, 2016 with performances at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Headliners include Equinoxx, Bennie & The Jets, and Mike DelGuidice. The second night has the same concert timeline, with performances by Sammie Arriaga, Love and Theft, and Uncle Kracker. The third and final night is Sunday, July 10, 2016 with one live performance by The Hartford Symphony Orchestra followed by their fireworks display. All of these events are free on the Enfield Town Green. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show. No pets or alcohol are permitted.

The city of Norwalk has an annual summer concert series that takes place at Calf Pasture Beach. To celebrate the Fourth of July the town has scheduled one of their concerts on the Fourth of July weekend. For families with children, come for entertainment early at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy The Amazing Andy Show. The live concert fun continues at 6 p.m. where concert goers will enjoy Dance To The Music With DJ Nuzzo. The headliner, The Ultimate Stevie Wonder Experience, will begin their performance at 8 p.m. Their set will be interrupted by a fireworks display at dusk and the concert will continue after the conclusion of the fireworks. Get off your feet and enjoy live music and fireworks on the beach.

The Orange Independence Day Concert & Fireworks Spectacular has a way of bringing friends and family together to celebrate our country’s independence. They combine celebrating the meaning of the Fourth of July with family fun. On July 2, 2016 come to this free concert and fireworks event. The rain date is July 3, 2016. While the event is free, there is a suggested parking fee of $5 per car. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a two hour concert with some patriotic themed music, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Join some family fun at Jennings Beach this Fourth of July weekend. Kick off your celebrations with live entertainment from Mark Berger & the Ride from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can’t beat live entertainment on the beach. Following the free concert the Fairfield fireworks show will start at dusk. Plan accordingly for parking, as spaces are limited. The scheduled rain date options are July 3rd or July 4th. Celebrate your patriotism outdoors and with live music this Independence Day.
