Black Eyed Sally’s knows how to throw a party. Performers wail out sweetness for the soul at this blues and jazz staple, while listeners hanker down on rib-sticking BBQ and cold beer. There is even a gluten-free menu available. A mural-painted brick wall serves as the back drop to the stage, adding extra soul, while singing harmonicas and weeping guitars gently rock and sway the crowd. Black Eyed Sally’s is king when it comes to blues and BBQ. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday from 11:30 to 4 p.m. Come back for dinner Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., or Friday and Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. (bar open late).

A movie theater turned music venue, the Webster is one of the best live music venues in Hartford for punk and rock bands, both locally and nationally recognized. With five bars, a room catering to the “under 21″ crowd and sound stage that really wails, the Webster is a well-oiled machine when it comes to pumping out performances that rock.
