Quarterback
Winner The Manning bowl is not a comfortable proposition for either quarterback. However, once the game begins, the competitive aspect of both quarterbacks’ personalities takes over, and that could be a lot better for Peyton at this point. After his seven-touchdown performance in Week One and reports that his arm is significantly stronger this year than it was a year ago, he should be prepared for a huge game.
While his brother was nearly perfect in his opening game, Eli made a slew of mistakes as the Giants lost to the Dallas Cowboys. He threw three costly interceptions and that forced the Giants to fight from behind all game. While Eli showed plenty of fight, he was not precise in his reads and his accuracy was not where Tom Coughlin wants it to be.
Offense
Winner The Broncos would like to take some heat off of their passing game by running the ball successfully. Knowshon Moreno was held to 28 yards in Week One. Wes Welker is a game-changer because he catches everything that comes his way and Demaryius Thomas (two TDs vs. Baltimore) has the speed to dominate the game.
The Giants were sorely disappointed with speedy running back David Wilson, who fumbled twice against the Cowboys. Without a running game, that puts even more pressure on Eli Manning. Victor Cruz continues to be a big-play maker after scoring three times against Dallas. Hakeem Nicks showed that he is healthy and once again a playmaker.
Defense
Winner The Broncos will play aggressively and take advantage of any loose play by the opponent, but they are vulnerable in the secondary. That’s what cost them in last year’s playoffs and it is likely to be a problem again this year. Wesley Woodyard is a big-time hitter who had 10 tackles and dominated in Week One against Baltimore.
Winner The Giants saw the return of Jason Pierre-Paul against the Cowboys after having back surgery in the offseason. Despite limited work in training camp, Pierre-Paul had one sack and he reported no problems. The Giants will likely be without cornerback Prince Amukamara against the Broncos because he sustained a helmet-to-helmet hit (accidental collision with teammate Ryan Mundy).
Special Teams
The Broncos feel like they have the opportunity to bust a long return whenever tiny Trindon Holliday gets his hands on the ball. Matt Prater is a more confident kicker at home than he is on the road, and that’s not surprising when you kick in Denver. Britton Colquitt is a solid directional punter.
Winner Josh Brown is the new Giants placekicker, but he was not truly tested in Dallas as he made a 20-yard field goal. Steve Weatherford has one of the strongest legs in the NFL and he can also place the ball fairly well. If Wilson gets benched, he may be able to get back into the good graces of the coaching staff with his special teams play.

3 out of 4

The Broncos are one of the favorites to get to the Super Bowl this year in a weak AFC. The Giants got off to an embarrassing start in Dallas. If they don’t turn it around in this game, it could be a very long season for Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin.
