Wednesday, July 23, 2014 -- Governor Dannel P. Malloy held a news conference at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden to announce that July 26 and 27, 2014 will be "Free State Parks Weekend" in Connecticut. For the weekend, all parking and museum fees will be waived throughout Connecticut’s state park system.

Anniversary Ceremony Brings Warning For Future of State Parks

At a ceremony celebrating the one-hundredth anniversary of the first purchase of land for a state park, there was a warning about the future of Connecticut’s park system.
