In a game that was expected to be a defensive battle, the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers both displayed very efficient offenses. Unfortunately for New England, Carolina’s offense was just a little more efficient.
The Patriots looked like a defeated team as they entered the locker room at halftime with a two-touchdown deficit, but 24 unanswered points in the second half resulted in New England earning a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Last season, the New England Patriots led the NFL in scoring with 34.8 points per game. But after an unimpressive 13-10 victory over the New York Jets in Foxboro Thursday night, the Patriots have scored a total of 36 points two weeks into the 2013 season. Quite frankly, they are lucky to have a 2-0 record.
