The University of Connecticut women ‘s basketball team has dropped from number two to number four in the weekly Associate Press poll, after Saturday’s loss to St. John’s.
After a crazy week in which 15 of the Top 25 teams lost, Baylor remains the unanimous No. 1 choice in The Associated Press women’s college basketball poll. Connecticut moved up a spot to second after Notre Dame lost to West Virginia.
Kentucky starts it second straight week– and fourth this season — as the No. 1 team in The Associated Press’ college basketball poll. Meanwhile the UConn Huskies, who have lost five of their last seven games, fell out of the top 25, receiving just two first-place votes.
Last week’s games led to a shakeup in the AP’s weekly basketball poll, including the UConn Huskies, who dropped out of the top twenty, to number 23 after last week’s losses to Cincinnati and Tennessee.
