Foley, Sprague First Selectwoman Differ On Company’s Closing

Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley has blamed Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s economic policies for the planned closure of a Sprague paperboard company. But some workers and the town’s first selectwoman contend the state is not to blame, claiming the Greenwich businessman doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Selectman Fined For Pre-Election Newsletter

The State Elections Enforcement Commission has fined Sprague’s first selectman $200 for spending public money on a town newsletter published before the 2010 election that touted her accomplishments in office.
