Life Plus 100 Years For Defendant In Teen’s Murder

A New Britain man charged with murdering three teenage girls in the 1980s has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing one of the victims, whose boyfriend served 20 years behind bars before being exonerated.

Miranda Guilty of Murder, Other Charges

Pedro Miranda of New Britain has been found of murder and three other charges by a Hartford Superior Court jury in the killing of 17-year-old Carmen Lopez of Hartford.

Prosecutor Says DNA Evidence Points To Miranda In 1988 Case

Prosecutors opened their case against Pedro Miranda in Hartford Superior Court Tuesday, telling the jury that the DNA evidence which cleared a man who spent 20 years in prison points directly at Miranda in the rape and murder case.
