Contamination Of Drugs Found At Connecticut Hospital Prompts Nationwide Warning

The Food and Drug Administration is warning doctors and hospital managers about a nationwide recall of all drugs made by a New Jersey compounding pharmacy because they may be contaminated with mold.

State Investigating New Jersey Based Pharmacy

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and the Department of Public Health are both investigating a New Jersey based compound pharmacy. This comes after officials learned that a Connecticut hospital received some bags of intravenous solution that appeared cloudy with visible floating particles, which may have been contaminated.
