Order To Release Newtown Tapes To Prompt Appeal

The prosecutor leading the investigation into last year’s massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School said he will ask Connecticut’s courts to block the release of 911 tapes from the shooting by appealing a state Freedom of Information Commission decision.

Conn. Panel Orders Release Of Newtown 911 Tapes

The state’s Freedom of Information Commission on Wednesday ordered the release of the 911 tapes from last year’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, ruling in favor of an appeal by The Associated Press for access to records withheld by investigators.
