Putting The 2013 Philadelphia Eagles Season In Perspective

A season of transition brought a new coach with a breath of fresh air and a new identity as a team. There were adjustments along the way as Chip Kelly adjusted to life as an NFL coach after serving an entire career at the college level, but his players bought in to the mentality Kelly introduced to them and fought their way to an NFC East division title few saw coming before the season started.

Giants Head To Philadelphia Amidst More Changes Along Offensive Line

The New York Football Giants seek to extend their winning streak to a modest two games as the team faces the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The Giants fluid offensive line situation changed again this week, after starting center David Baas was placed on season ending injured reserve. The Eagles enter the contest relatively healthy, although last week’s starting quarterback, Nick Foles, is likely out with a concussion.

Eagles Relatively Healthy, Giants Injury Report Grows Heading Into Sunday’s Contest

The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants are each desperate for a victory on Sunday, so any advantage can prove helpful. With that in mind, this week’s injury report hands a decided advantage to the Eagles, which shows only two players on it. Meanwhile, the New York Giants had eight players who did not practice, in addition to the pending trade of Jon Beason to work with heading into week five.

Giants, Eagles Both Desperate For A Win

The only thing that separates the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles is Philly’s surprise win over the Washington Redskins on opening day. While the G-men have dropped four straight to open the 2013 NFL campaign, the Eagles have dropped three in a row, including a 54-20 drubbing at the hands of the Denver Broncos last week. Both teams are focused on playing 60 minutes of football in Eagles coach Chip Kelly’s first tilt in the Meadowlands.
