A resolution that would change Connecticut’s constitution to possibly allow more people to vote using absentee ballots has cleared the House of Representatives, but not by enough votes to place the issue before voters in November.

Proposal Would Ease Absentee Voting

Connecticut lawmakers are considering a bill that could eventually allow people to vote in elections by absentee ballot, without having to provide an excuse, such as of being out of town on Election Day.
