New Britain is a short drive from pretty much everywhere in the greater Hartford area, so enjoying a Rock Cats ball game is so convenient for Connecticut families.
People of all ages will enjoy attending Rock Cats games, and parents will especially love how the Rock Cats games cater to younger fans.

The best way to ensure that your kids get the most out of their Rock Cats experience is to enroll them in the Rookie Kids Club. It’s free to all children 12 years of age an under, and membership comes with a free general admission ticket to every Sunday home game. In addition, Rookie Kids Club members receive an official T-shirt and membership card, invitations to all Rookie’s Club Sunday Parties, and the chance to either throw out the first pitch at a Sunday game or be a Rock Cats Bat Boy or Girl for a home game. These are just a few of the great perks kids can enjoy by joining the Rookie Kids Club.

Although Rock Cats games run all summer long, Sundays are generally the best days to bring kids to the ballpark. They even get to run the bases after the games!
In addition to Sundays, the New Britain Rock Cats offer theme nights and youth clinics, which are fun for the whole family to enjoy.

There are plenty of fun theme nights coming up in July and August, and you can see the full schedule for theme nights on the Rock Cats website.

One that sounds particularly fun, coming up on July 30th, is a Boy Scout Sleepover, where scouts get to camp out on the field after the game and watch a movie from their tent on the big screen.  There is also an “All You Can Eat” Scout Barbeque available for $11 per person. To register your troop, call the New Britain Rock Cats at 860-224-8383.

Youth clinics are another great way to get your kids more interested in the great sport of baseball. The Rock Cats have one coming up on July 30th from 12:30 – 2:00pm. Kids will learn baseball tips from the Rock Cats players, and there is an autograph session after the clinic. Each child that participates also receives a free general admission ticket to the game that night.

The New Britain Rock Cats truly have something for the whole family to enjoy, and this is one Connecticut summer activity that can’t be missed. Pack your sunscreen and head out for a day at the ballpark you won’t forget!
