Amtrak Buys More Land In Groton; $62K Off Tax Rolls

For the second time in 12 years, Amtrak has paid a few million dollars to buy land in Groton from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

New Britain Approves Landlord Fee

It was standing-room only at New Britain’s city council chambers Thursday night, as a boisterous crowd of landlords and tenants turned out to show opposition to a $150 per unit fee on the owners of apartment buildings.
