GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTIC) – Police say the fatal shooting of a man at a Glastonbury park Wednesday was self-inflicted.

Police were called to J.B. Williams Park on Neipsic Road around 11:30 a.m. for a well-being check, said authorities. They said there is no threat to the public.

The man had fatally shot himself. Police say it was a case of suicide. The man’s name was not released.
