(CBS Connecticut) — A worker discovered a handgun under the driver’s seat of a loaner car at a Hartford car dealership this morning.
Police were called.
Deputy Chief Brian Foley said the Glock 23 had been reported stolen from Ellington in 2011.
Police took the gun and are investigating.
The car had been loaned out repeatedly recently, and it was not known how long the gun had been under the seat, so it was not immediately clear who left the weapon there.
Police did not identify the dealership.
