DEEP: Kettletown State Park Among 3 Parks Closed For Swimming

SOUTHBURY, Conn. (CBS Connecticut)_ The swimming area at Kettletown State Park in Southbury remains closed today because of blue green algae blooms. There are warnings for the toxic blooms at Indian Wells State Park in Shelton, as well, but swimming is still allowed there.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has also closed swimming areas at Gardner Lake and Gay City state parks because of high bacteria levels.
