HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – Hartford police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the fatal shooting of a 63-year-old handyman.

Police say Jeff Worrell was just an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when a group of teens started shooting at Westland and Garden Streets on Sunday.

Police arrested youths ages 16 and 18 on Wednesday and charged them with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Their names have not been released.

Longtime friend Jim Corricone says Worrell was a live-in maintenance man at an apartment building near where he was shot. Several people gathered to mourn him at a vigil held near the shooting Wednesday.
