Police Seize $20K In Illegal Fireworks

DURHAM, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Acting on complaints about a large fireworks display Tuesday night, police seized $20,000 worth of illegal fireworks from a home on Pine Ledge Trail in Durham.

In addition to taking possession of the exploded and unexploded fireworks, police arrested Theodore Lynch, 50, of Madison.

Lynch is charged with illegal possession of fireworks, second-degree reckless endangerment, and breach of peace.

He’s due in Middletown Superior Court July 19.
