Police Find Apparent Pipe Bombs In Newtown

NEWTOWN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Newtown police say the FBI has been called in to help investigate after two apparent pipe bombs were found Friday evening.

Officers were called to 301 South Main Street– a mobile home park– for a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle to find two “suspicious devices” filled with an “energetic substance,” said police.

The devices were taken to a lab for further analysis.
