HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – The Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford is kicking off the 43rd Annual Festival of Trees & Traditions on Friday.

“There’s about eight days of wonderful holiday galleries, we have decorated trees and wreaths, live music, and a number of festive activities going on,” said Amanda Young, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at the Atheneum.

Young says the Festival is one of the Atheneum’s biggest fundraising events of the year.  The Festival of Trees & Traditions runs daily Friday December 2nd through December 11th, except on Monday and Tuesday, when the museum is closed.
